Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventures Game for the Nintendo Gamecube

Nintendo is set to release a new Legend of Zelda title next year, along with their new game console in the form of Nintendo NX.

But, unbeknownst to new fans of the game, there are actually a lot of games before the Breath of the Wild.

In this article, I will walk down memory lane to talk about a particular Legend of Zelda game that grabbed my attention

It grabbed my attention because it was available for the Nintendo Gamecube, which at the time, was a really good game console.

The Legend of Zelda game I am going to talk about today is the Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventures.

The game starts with unusual events that happen in Hyrule. Because of the strange happenings, Princess Zelda sought the aid of Shrine maidens in order to stop these unusual events.

Apparently, the Shrine maidens have concluded that the strange occurrences in Hyrule were due to the fact that Vaati’s seal was slowly weakening; making him able to cast some of his powers in Hyrule.

Link was then assigned to protect the Shrine Maidens as they attempt to open a portal to the Four Swords Sanctuary.

Unfortunately, before they can get past the portal, Shadow Link was already waiting there. Then, Shadow Link encased the Shrine Maidens in crystals.

In order to stop Vaati and Shadow Link, Link must get a hold of the fabled Four Swords. The Four Swords is a legendary sword that is able to allow its wielder to split into three persons.

However, just when Link was able to get the sword, Vaati was already released with the help of Shadow Link.

The fears of the Shrine Maidens were further predicated upon the emergence of the dark land and the inhabitants of Hyrule were secretly kidnapped.

The knights of Hyrule also had dark copies of themselves and those shadow copies wreaked havoc across the land. It is up to Link and his clones to stop this menace and end the chaos that Vaati and Shadow Link created.

The Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventures Game for the Nintendo Gamecube is different from other Legend of Zelda games because it has three major game modes.

The first major game mode is the “Hyrulean Adventure”. This is a multiplayer game mode in which you can team up with 3 other players. The gameplay elements are the same to that of “A Link to the Past” and the musical score is also the same, although, some are scrambled among the different maps.

In this game mode, up to four characters can use a version of Link (thanks to the Four Swords). Each of the players must work collectively to get enough Force gems to unlock the boss battle in that level. Failure to do so would mean that you have to restart the level to collect all of the gems again.

The second major game mode is the Shadow Battle. This game mode is basically just a brawl among the Links. There are 5 maps you can choose from and then you have to battle it out until only one Link survives.

Lastly, there is a game mode only present in the Japanese version of the game which is called the “Navi Trackers”. In this game, you will search for stamps from Tetra’s Pirate crew. This makes good use of the Nintendo Gameboy advance and the Nintendo Gamecube.

Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventures Game for the Nintendo Gamecube is one of the best Legend of Zelda games and it even ranks number 48 in the all-time Nintendo’s greatest games.
